So Igawa gave up a grand slam...to a college team. They say that the MLB is ahead of the Japanese League, and I believe it. Apparently, so is college baseball. This guy can't handle college hitters? I mean, I'm in college right now, and theoretically, my peers could have mashed a MAJOR LEAGUE pitcher. Please reread that last sentence. If that wasn't enough, Igawa isn't worried. At all.
You know, if a guy is struggling, it is much easier to feel for him and forgive him if he admits it. Thats what was so frustrating to me about A-Rod. But Igawa pitches like a high schooler, and he says he pitched well! He had good control! The only way he had good control was if he wanted to give up that grand slam. He is the Japanese Pavano!
